Self Rescue and Advanced Rope Work

Rock climbing is a wonderful and thrilling sport, yet sometimes things can go wrong. Being prepared and having the right knowledge and skills to deal with a situation is a vital part of any climbers' tool box.

Our Self Rescue and Advanced Rope Work Course will equip you with the skills and knowledge to be able to deal with a wide array of problems which might arise whilst you're out climbing. This course is run on single pitch, multi-pitch and sea cliffs.

Key course information:

  • Course will include: escaping the system, hoisting, use of the guide plate (if applicable), ascending a fixed rope, basic problem solving

  • All safety equipment can be provided

  • Course is suitable for those who have some climbing experience, and are able to belay and tie in.

  • Please note: the Multi-pitch course will operate on a 1:2 ratio due to the nature of the terrain 

Course duration: 1 day
